Introduction

Radiology Department or section is an integral part of any hospital for disease diagnosis or other health problems diagnosis. The most common is while X-ray advanced tool, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) helps clinicians to treat patients in various ways. Computerized tomography (CT)-scan is also useful. Mamography is not ignored since a mammogram is an X-ray images of the breast that shows early signs of breast cancer. Ultrasonography (USG) is the another second most common assay after X-ray in the Department of Radiology.

There should be staff in the following categories-

Medical Staff- Radiologist (MD), Sonologist

Para medicals staff-Certificate/Diploma( radio technician), Bachelor(radio technologist), Master

Non-technical staff-It staff, MRI/CT patient helper, report distributor, peon, etc.

  • The charge of radiological assays completely depend on the location and area of the body covering.
  • CT scan is used for the diagnosis of muscle and bone disorders, to check the location of a tumor, infection, internal injuries, internal bleeding, and blood clot, This is also useful to guide procedures such as surgery, biopsy, and radiation therapy.
  • MRI is the most common imaging test of the brain and spinal cord. It is used for the diagnosis of aneurysms of cerebral vessels, multiple sclerosis, disorders of the eye and inner ear, spinal cord disorders, tumour, stroke and brain injury from trauma.
