Details

Florona is an infection or the occurrence of flu and corona at the same time, not a strain or variant. It may indicate a major breakdown of the immune system. Two viruses are entering the human body at the same time. The news of Florona came at a time when the world is battling a new tide of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The pandemic happened with the new variant Omicron, which was first detected in South Africa in November 2021. The fast-transmissible variant has already spread to various countries. It has overtaken the previous variant Delta in the USA and UK.

Who is more prone to Florona?

Florona is supposed that immunocompromised hosts like pregnant women, cancer patients, solid-organ transplant recipients, and patients on chemotherapy are more prone to Florona.

Keynotes

Israel is suffering from Influenza these days and it has already started the fourth vaccine shots against Covid-19 to immunocompromised individuals.

What is Deltamicron?

Delmicron is a fusing of Delta and Omicron variants, that might have caused the tide in the USA and Europe. it is not a new variant but the attack of Delta and Omicron strains jointly. The possibility occurring is so that both the strains can exchange genes and trigger a more dangerous variant. There are also some clear data and publications from South Africa earlier from the pandemic when people and certainly immunocompromised people have harbored both viruses.
